A Tax Guide for Christmas Parties and Gifts
With Christmas just around the corner, many employers are gearing up to host their annual Christmas parties or give gifts to their employees. Before doing......
Tax Returns are filed with HMRC every year to show a company’s financial records, such as income and expenses, and they are used to calculate the amount of tax that they owe. Businesses have 12 months from the end of the accounting year to submit their tax return.
Depending on the size and structure of your business, you need to submit a specific amount of information to HMRC.
High net worth individuals may also require a tax return if they have rental properties or several sources of income. It is crucial that tax planning is considered for these individuals to mitigate their tax liability across all assets.
Sole Traders are required to submit a self-assessment tax return.
Partnerships are required to submit a partnership tax return, and each partner must also submit a self-assessment tax return.
Limited Companies are required to submit an annual return, CT600 company accounts, and directors are all required to complete a self-assessment tax return.
Our tax experts provide up-to-date advice, ensure you are compliant with any new legislation, and aim to mitigate your tax liability at all times. When processing your tax return, it is the perfect opportunity to review your financial circumstances and to ensure you are claiming all the tax relief possible.

Jonathan graduated from Heriot Watt University with a HND in Business Studies, had a brief spell with HM Revenue & Customs and started as a tax junior with DH&Co. He worked his way up to managing the tax compliance team at Douglas Home for 10 years before being promoted to an Associate.
