Scottish Government Coronavirus Funds Closing Friday 10 July

A number of Scottish Government Coronavirus funds will be closing to new applications this Friday, 10 July 2020. This applies to the Business Support Fund, Newly Self Employed Hardship Fund and Bed and Breakfast Hardship Fund. Please see below for more information.

Business Support Fund

  • Closes to new applicants 10 July 2020
  • £10,000 grant available to help small business owners of non-domestic properties manage the impact of Coronavirus
  • This is available to non-domestic ratepayers with properties in receipt of:
    • Small Business Bonus Scheme (SBBS) relief or Rural Relief
    • Nursery Relief, Disabled Relief, Business Growth Accelerator, discretionary Sports Relief, Enterprise Areas Relief, Fresh Start Relief, or Charitable Rate Relief but eligible for SBBS
  • You may also be eligible if you are not the ratepayer but occupy certain types of space such as a shared office, business incubator or industrial space
  • A £25,000 grant is also available to the ratepayers of properties in retail, hospitality and leisure sectors for property with a rateable value between £18,001 – £51,000

Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund 

Bed and Breakfast Hardship Fund

  • Closes 10 July 2020
  • Fund supporting B&B and other Small Serviced Accommodation businesses who haven’t been able to access support through other schemes
  • Available to those who:
    • have been in business for at least a year and filed trading accounts for 2018-2019
    • had trading profits below £50,000 in the financial year 2019-20
    • earn at least 35% of their individual income from the affected business
  • Successful applicants will receive a one-off payment of £3,000
