Exam success and newly qualified CTA

Exam success and newly qualified CTA

We are delighted that two of our team members have passed their recent Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) exams this week.

Robyn Smith and Natasha Gray both passed their most recent papers. With the added pressure of changing to virtual exams due to the covid pandemic, they both adjusted well and worked very hard through difficult circumstances.

Robyn is now a fully qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA). This is a challenging course that requires diligence and dedication over a number of years to achieve. In addition to completing the exams, students also need to have three years of professional experience to be awarded the qualification.

Darren Thomson, Managing Director, commented, “This is a fantastic achievement for Robyn who has worked relentlessly to gain this qualification. We are delighted that her hard work has paid off and are sure that she is on the path towards a fulfilling career in tax planning.”

Natasha is well on her way to becoming fully qualified and is halfway through the ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) and CTA joint programme.

Darren continued, “We look forward to aiding Natasha with her career development through the years to come. Both Robyn and Natasha are great assets to the Douglas Home & Co team, and we can’t wait to see what else they achieve with the firm.

We take great pride in developing our workforce to help them grow and progress through their career. From trainees that are just beginning their career in accounting and tax, to long standing employees who wish to specialise or continue gaining further qualifications, we are delighted to help any team members achieve their goals.”
