04 Jan Coronavirus Financial Assistance – 4.1.21
We were hoping to avoid this word in 2021 but it has been announced by the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, that Scotland will enter a full lockdown from midnight tonight until at least the end of January. As always we will continue to update you if further funding becomes available following this news.
The Scottish Government has two grant funds available for businesses who have had to shut due to the new restrictions put in place since the 2nd November 2020.
Temporary Closure Grant
Available if your business has been required to close by law:
- £2,000 if your business premises has a rateable value of up to and including £51,000
- £3,000 if your business premises has a rateable value of £51,001 or above
Business Restrictions Grant
Available if your business can remain open but is specifically required to modify its operations by law, for example having to close earlier than normal. This does not include where a demand for your products or services has been reduced because of the pandemic.
- £1,400 if your business premises has a rateable value of up to and including £51,000
- £2,100 if your business premises has a rateable value of £51,001 or above
