Coronavirus Financial Assistance – 17.2.21

Update 17.2.21

Two funding schemes were announced by The Scottish Government this week to help more businesses through the Covid-19 pandemic.

£60 million has been made available for newly self-employed, close contact businesses and driving instructors.

The Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund is opening for a second round. The scheme offers a one-off £4,000 payment for those whose status as being newly self-employed makes them ineligible for the UK Governments Coronavirus Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.
The list of criteria for this fund can be found here. This fund will be open for four weeks.

The Mobile and Home Based Close Contact Services Fund is for owners of businesses that operate primarily on a mobile basis or from home. Eligible applicants will receive a one-off payment of £4,000.
The list of criteria for this fund can be found here. This fund will be open for four weeks.

Applications can be submitted for both funds through this website.
