Finalist in the Scotsman IFA of the Year 2010 Competition
In 2010, Robert Bell was invited to participate in the Scotsman IFA of the Year Competition.
This entailed a case study of a married couple, who had inherited a large sum of money and required both investment and inheritance tax advice. The capital sum to be invested was £300,000.00 and the competition would run for 10 months.
After submitting his report, Robert succeeded in being chosen to be one of the eight finalists in this prestigious competition.
The capital sum could only be invested within a limited range of funds which were offered by the five investment houses sponsoring the competition. However there was also the option to invest within three external fund providers.
Based on an initial investment of £300,000, Robert's portfolio achieved an excellent return of £64,450.00 (21.6%* growth) over a 10 month period. When compared to the growth in the FTSE 100 of 9.0% over the same period, this highlights the exceptional level of investment performance achieved through Robert’s investment strategy and the benefits of using an experienced Independent Financial Adviser.
